| Born in Montreal, Maria Diamantis holds a degree in Voice Performance
from McGill University where she studied with Lucile Evans and coached with Dr. Robert Evans.
Participating in Master Classes, Maria had the opportunity to sing for soprano Sena Jurinac
and Canadian contralto Maureen Forrester. Her other studies have included summer programs
with the University of Miami in Salzburg, Austria and at the American Institute
of Musical Studies (AIMS) in Graz, Austria. Maria has appeared in various solo performances such with the Montreal Chamber Orchestra, the Vaudreuil Philharmonic,the Symphony Orchestras of Kalamata and Lamia, The "Nikolaos Mantzaros" Wind Ensemble and the McGill Symphony Orchestra performing as Ludmila in The Bartered Bride by Bedrich Smetana. Her discography includes a cassette titled 14 Songs for Children, the award winning CD "PIANGERO" with Chroma Musika Orchestra, the CD "GALAXY #2" with the Hellenic Radio-TV Symphony Orchestra and recently, the Children's book/CD the "Selfish Giant" with Chroma Musika Sinfonietta published by "KEDROS" one of the biggest Greek publishing houses. She co produced a radio show titled "Discovering Classical Music" for Radio Centre-Ville and was Music Director of the Hudson Music Club's production of the Wizard of Oz. Mrs Diamantis has been invited to give seminars at Messologi, Greece, The Zografou Municipal Conservatory, Athens and Hudson, Quebec. | Dimitris Ilias holds a Bachelor in voice-performance
and a graduate Diploma in Advanced Music Performance Studies
from Concordia University for which he received an award from the Hellenic Board of Trade. Mr. Ilias has participated as tenor soloist in numerous concerts in Greece, Hungary, Italy, France and the USA. He has sung many operatic and operetta leads with Opera North Theatre, Mount Royal Operatic Society, Montreal West Operatic Society and the Atelier de Jeu Scenique of the Universite de Montreal. As tenor soloist he has been invited to sing with the Studio de Musique Ancienne, CAMMAC orchestra and choir, Ensemble Vocale de Montreal, Montreal Philharmonic Society, Vaudreuil Philharmonic, the Symphony Orchestras of Kalamata and Lamia as well as the "Nikolaos Mantzaros" Wind Ensemble. As winner of the F. Nakas competition he has sung in the concert series "NEOI GIA TOUS NEOUS". His discography, as a tenor soloist, includes the CD "STRANGE ADVENTURE" with Montreal West Operatic Society Symphony, the award winning CD "PIANGERO" with Chroma Musika Orchestra, the CD "GALAXY #2" with the Hellenic Radio-TV Symphony Orchestra and recently, the Children's book/CD the "Selfish Giant" with Chroma Musika Sinfonietta published by "KEDROS" one of the biggest Greek publishing houses. He produces 3 shows for Radio CFMB 1280 AM among them "The Classical Corner of CFMB". He has been the music director of the Montreal West Operatic Society and has been invited to give seminars and masterclasses in numerous educational institutions both in Canada and in Greece.
